Wondering About God
You may well have an opinion about Jesus. You might think he was a great teacher or some kind of ancient prophet. Maybe you think he didn’t exist at all. No matter our options one thing is sure - Jesus changed everything, even our calendars!
Here at WCCC we believe he still changes things today including us and we believe he wants to change you too, by giving you a way back into a relationship with God.
Jesus himself said:
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well." John 14:6
No matter who you are, what you’ve done, no matter where you were born or the colour of your skin, Jesus is the way for you to have a relationship with God. Everybody’s invited. Everybody’s included. Everybody’s important. If you think you’re an exception to the rule or you are too good or too bad, you’re wrong. Jesus loves you!
So how do you actually become a Christian?
Knowing your sins are forgiven and receiving salvation begins with simply following these steps:
A. ADMIT YOU HAVE MADE MISTAKES
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8).
B. BELIEVE IN JESUS
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
C. COME CLEAN BEFORE GOD AND LEAVE YOUR SIN
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
If you would like, you could use the following prayer as a guide:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I'm a sinner, and I'm sorry for my sin. Thank You for dying on the Cross for me. Please forgive me of my sin, and accept me as Your child. I desire to live for You, Jesus.
Congratulations on becoming a part of God's forever family!
